Best practices
How is resilience built in other historic areas or as part of other projects/initiatives?
To answer this question, the ARCH team compiled an inventory of best practices in resilience building for historic areas and cultural heritage. Originally published in deliverable D7.2, a set of 40 best practice resilience initiatives across Europe were identified, classified according to their location, biogeographical region, main hazards they address, the disaster risk management phase they relate to, and the type of measure that was implemented.
32 initiatives were featured as short snapshots, while eight initiatives were analysed in detail as case studies. These case studies provide additional information, e.g. on aspects such as main outcomes, factors of success and lessons learned.
Here we provide an interactive web directory of these snapshots and case studies.
How can my historic area / project / iniative be included in the best practice directory?
If you want to include your own iniative in the best practice directory, please get in touch with our team at arch-support@iais.fraunhofer.de. We will provide you with a template to fill out and after a review might decide to include your initative here.
