Registration and System Configuration
This page offers information about the necessary steps of registration and system configuration in order to use the system and all its provided functions.
User Registration
Before ready to use the system the user need to register to the system. For this purpose the E-COMPASS cockpit needs to be reached through a Web browser by using the following Web address:
The appearing website looks as shown in the following Figure.
Click on the link “login or register”. If you are not registered yet, follow the subsequent steps. In the case you are already registered please use your username and password to login and proceed with the Chapter of this manual which describes the action you currently want to do.
The next step for registration is a click on the link “Create new account” as shown in the next Figure.
For the registration you need to fill in the registration form. The Google Analytics Tracking ID and the PIWIK URL are not obligatory necessary, but there are some restrictions for the use of the system’s functions. In the case you do not provide a Google Analytics Tracking ID you cannot use the functions “Visitors Profiler”, “Product Profiler” and “Sales Optimiser”. If you are not providing any PIWIK information the system is not able to provide the automated voucher view to the users which is a feature of the Sales Optimiser.
The field “PIWIK URL” can also be released and instead an e-mail to the given address (see bottom of the registration form to get the latest e-mail address) can be send to be registered to the PIWIK installation of the SME E-COMPASS project. In order to be able to use the voucher viewing feature of the Sales Optimiser you also need to integrate a short JavaScript snippet into your e-shop website which sends e-commerce data to the E-COMPASS system. The JavaScript snippet and detailed information of the integration of the snippet will be sent via e-mail as reply to your e-mail (the integration depends on your e-shop system). More detailed information about the integration of the snippet into your e-shop website is given for some e-shop systems in Section "Sales Optimser".
The registration is completed after sending the registration form by pressing the button “Create new account”.
User Account Management
Clicking on the link “My Account” you reach the Account Manager of the E-COMPASS cockpit where you can add, delete and change your account data.
With of click “Edit” button you reach the form of the Account Manager where you can edit your account data. Here you can also change your password or e-mail address, upload a picture for your account or change your time zone. The information of your e-shop as the e-shop name, the website URL, the Google Analytics and PIWIK account data you can add or edit by clicking on the button “Eshop owner information”. You will reach the form of your e-shop information as shown in the following Figure.
Clicking on the “Save” button the edited data will be updated.
