Pouya Mostashar is a Researcher at the DyNaLab of Fraunhofer IWES. He received his master's degree from Technical University of Munich with a specialization in Electrical Engineering and Information Technology in 2025. At Fraunhofer IWES he works on developing and operating PHIL testbenches for renewable energy sources as well as research projects for offshore wind energy. He supports solving technical issues at DyNaLab by evaluating and analyzing electrical measurements.
Fraunhofer IWES is testing a grid-forming multi-MW battery storage system in accordance with VDE FNN Guideline 2.1 for the first time, paving the way for providing inertia in the power grid of the future.
