Nowcast: a description of current weather and a short-period forecast. [2]
National Definitions
Australia
Nowcasting: predicting what will happen during the short-term (next several hours over scales of a few kilometres). [3]
Honduras
Nowcast: A short-term weather forecast, generally out to six hours or less. [4]
This is also called a Short Term Forecast.
India

United States
AMS
Nowcast: A short-term weather forecast, generally for the next few hours. [6]
The U.S. National Weather Service specifies zero to three hours, though up to six hours may be used by some.
