CLIMATE-ADAPT
This usage differs from that in the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), which defines 'climate change' as: 'a change of climate which is attributed directly or indirectly to human activity that alters the composition of the global atmosphere and which is in addition to natural climate variability observed over comparable time periods'.
Climate change can be framed in different ways; an inventory has been made by the Dutch Climate Changes Spatial Planning research programme.

(States of) Jersey
(1) Any change in climate over time, whether due to natural variability or as a result of human activity (the European Climate Adaptation Platform).
(2) A change of climate which is attributed directly or indirectly to human activity that alters the composition of the global atmosphere and which is in addition to natural climate variability observed over comparable time periods' (United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC)). [29]
Jordan
Kiribati
Climate change is the change to the earth’s climate that is occuring as a result of global warming. Climate change is the gradual warming of the earth’s atmosphere caused by emissions of heat-absorbing greenhouse gases, such as carbon dioxide and methane.
Malaysia
Perubahan iklim berlaku mungkin kerana proses semulajadi dalaman bumi, pendorong luaran, ataupun perubahan antropogenik terus menerus dalam komposisi atmosfera dan penggunaan tanah.
Mexico
Spain
Thailand
Tonga
It is generally not possible clearly to make attribution between these causes. Projections of future climate change reported by IPCC generally consider only the influence on climate of anthropogenic increases in greenhouse gases and other human-related factors.
