Dr. Johannes Höflinger has been group leader at Fraunhofer IWES since 2022, where he focuses on the development and operation of test laboratories for megawatt-scale electrolysers. He is actively involved in both the Hydrogen Lab Leuna and the Hydrogen Lab Görlitz. Previously, he studied mechanical engineering at the Vienna University of Technology and business administration at the Vienna University of Economics and Business, and subsequently earned his doctorate in the field of hydrogen-based fuel cell vehicles.
The production of green hydrogen will be a key element of the energy transition. To meet the growing demand in the coming decades, production capacities in Europe must be massively expanded.
