Matthias Lindermann

Matthias gained his M.Sc. in mechanical engineering with a special focus on development and production at Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences in 2014. Since 2016, he has been a member of the manufacturing processes for rotor blades group at Fraunhofer IWES. His research topics include additive manufacturing technologies as well as automation concepts for blade production such as the application of the glue.

Might stick around: IWES tackles rotor blade production challenges with the Variable Glue Applicator

The longer the rotor blade, the more glue is needed to bond the blade shells together. IWES scientists have developed the Variable Glue Applicator to simplify and improve the application of adhesive.
