National Definitions
United States
White House
The term “systems” means a combination of personnel, structures, facilities, information, materials, equipment, networks, or processes, whether physical or virtual, integrated or interconnected for a specific purpose that enables an organization’s services, functions, or capabilities. [2]
DHS
Any combination of facilities, equipment, personnel, procedures, and communications integrated for a specific purpose. [3]
DoD
System: An integrated composite of people, products, and processes that provide a capability to satisfy a stated need or objective. [4]
System is a functionally, physically, and/or behaviorally related group of regularly interacting or interdependent elements; that group of elements forming a unified whole (source: JP 3-0). [5]
NERC
A combination of generation, transmission, and distribution components. [6]
Zimbabwe
System means an arrangement of data or one or more programmes which, when executed, performs a function. [7]
