Künstliche Intelligenz – Wissenschaft und Praxis treffen in Nürnberg aufeinander

Ada und das ADA Lovelace Center-Team laden Sie herzlich zur »Conference on Optimization and Machine Learning in Industry« ein!

Die Vorbereitungen laufen auf Hochtouren und ich freue mich schon sehr auf die »Conference on Optimization and Machine Learning in Industry« am 15.03.2023 in Nürnberg, die vom ADA Lovelace Center for Analytics, Data and Applications und der FAU Erlangen-Nürnberg veranstaltet wird.

Die Konferenz hat das Ziel, den internationalen KI-Austausch zu stärken und wissenschaftliche Forschung mit Anwendungen aus der Praxis zu verbinden. Im Fokus stehen also hochkarätige und vielseitige Vorträge zur neuesten KI-Forschung sowie konkrete, erfolgreiche KI-Anwendungsfälle aus der Praxis. Ich bin schon sehr aufgeregt zu erfahren welche konkreten Anwendungsfälle es für KI gibt und wie sich die KI-Forschung weiterentwickelt  –  und das weltweit. Denn die Konferenz knüpft an eine Veranstaltung des internationalen Forschungspartnernetzwerks des ADA Lovelace Center an, bei der Expertinnen und Experten des ADA Lovelace Center, des Zuse Institut Berlin sowie des Machine Learning Center am Georgia Institute of Technology und des RIKEN Center for Advanced Intelligence Project in Tokyo zu einem Workshop zusammenkommen, um sich zu Themen wie Diskrete Optimierung und Machine Learning auszutauschen.

Das ergibt ein spannendes Programm mit einigen Highlights

Zum Start können die Besucher um 9 Uhr an einem geführten Rundgang durch den neuen KI-Showroom im Herzen der Nürnberger Altstadt teilnehmen und sich so schonmal auf das Thema einstimmen.
Im Anschluss daran startet das Hauptevent im Teambank Hörsaal / Hörsaal 5 der Wirtschafts- und Sozialwissenschaftlichen Fakultät in Nürnberg um 10Uhr mit einem Welcome von Prof. Dr. Alexander Martin, gefolgt von Impulsvorträgen, die das Thema KI in der Praxis näher beleuchten und einer Paneldiskussion mit Teilnehmenden des vorangegangenen Wissenschafts-Workshops. Hier bekommen wir einen Eindruck davon, was an den vorangegangenen Tagen diskutiert wurde.

Die begleitende Ausstellung im Foyer der Ausstellung bietet den Besuchern nicht nur während der Pausen die Möglichkeit sich eingehender mit den Expertinnen und Experten des ADA Lovelace Center auszutauschen. Erfahren Sie hier mehr über die Kompetenzen, die im Projekt erforscht und weiterentwickelt werden und wie sie in den Applikationen zur Anwendung kommen. Hier stehen Austausch und Networking zwischen Industrie und Wissenschaft im Fokus und ich bin sicher, über die gezeigten Demonstratoren ergeben sich spannende Einblicke in die Forschung.

Kommen Sie vorbei und lernen Sie vor Ort die KI-Kompetenzen des ADA Lovelace Center kennen, die sich über semantische Datenmodelle, dem Lernen mit wenigen Daten oder wenig annotierten Daten, bis hin zu maschinellem Lernen und mathematischer Optimierung erstrecken. Anhand praktischer Anwendungsfälle aus den Bereichen Automotive, Medizin und Sport werden die Kompetenzen und Methoden greifbar gemacht.

Artificial intelligence – science and practice meet in Nuremberg

Ada and the ADA Lovelace Center team would like to invite you to the „Conference on Optimization and Machine Learning in Industry“!

Preparations are in full speed and I am very much looking forward to the „Conference on Optimization and Machine Learning in Industry“ on March 15, 2023 in Nuremberg, hosted by the ADA Lovelace Center for Analytics, Data and Applications and FAU Erlangen-Nuremberg.

The goal of the conference is to strengthen international AI exchange and to connect scientific research with real-world applications. So the focus will be on high-level and diverse talks on the latest AI research as well as concrete, successful AI use cases from practice. I am already very excited to learn what use cases there are for AI and how AI research is developing –  worldwide.

The conference ties into an event hosted by the ADA Lovelace Center’s International Research Partner Network, which brings together experts from the ADA Lovelace Center, the Zuse Institute Berlin, as well as the Machine Learning Center at the Georgia Institute of Technology and the RIKEN Center for Advanced Intelligence Project in Tokyo for a workshop to share ideas on topics such as Discrete Optimization and Machine Learning.

Exciting program with many highlights

Visitors can take part in a guided tour of the new AI showroom in the heart of Nuremberg’s Old Town at 9 a.m. to get in the mood for the topic Artificial Intelligence.

Afterwards, the main event will start in the Teambank Lecture Hall / Lecture Hall 5 of the Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences in Nuremberg at 10am with a welcome by Prof. Dr. Alexander Martin, followed by keynote speeches that take a closer look at the topic of AI in practice and a panel discussion with participants of the previous science workshop. Here we get an impression of what was discussed on the previous days.

The accompanying exhibition in the foyer of the exhibition offers visitors not only during the breaks the opportunity to talk in detail with the experts of the ADA Lovelace Center. Here you can learn more about the competencies that are being researched and developed in the project and how they are used in the applications. The focus is on exchange and networking between industry and research, and I am sure that the demonstrators of the project will provide exciting insights into research.

Drop by and learn on-site about the ADA Lovelace Center’s AI competencies, which range from semantic data models, learning with little data or little annotated data, to machine learning and mathematical optimization. Practical use cases from the automotive, medical, and sports sectors will be used to make the competencies and methods tangible.
