Freeplane CTS2-LE Plugin: Installation

The CTS2-LE-Addon uses Freeplane as a framework for modelling value sets and code systems. Installation of Freeplane for use in conjunction with CTS2-LE is a three-step process:

1. installation of Freeplane MindMap editor on your local computer
2. installation of the CTS2-LE FHIR ValueSet Add-On
3. configuration of the Add-On to connect to a CTS2-LE server

Prerequisites

For using all features of the CTS-LE Freeplane Add-On you either need to have

• a CTS2-LE server installed in your network, or
• read and write access to a CTS2-LE server that is accessible in the internet

Step 1: Installing Freeplane

1. Go to http://sourceforge.net/projects/freeplane/ .
2. Download and run the Freeplane installer.
3. Follow the instruction in the Freeplane installer.

Step 2: Installing CTS2-LE-Addon

If you are using the Freeplane English language version:

1. Open Freeplane.
2. Use the menu item Tools -> Add-ons....
3. On the tab Search and install, click the Search button.
4. Choose the CTS2-LE Addon-file that is provided with the CTS2-LE distribution (e. g. FhirValueSetTools-v1.0.addon.mm).
5. Click on the install button. Confirm the installation and the license agreements when the respective questions pop up.
6. Close Freeplane and open it again.

If you are using the Freeplane German language version:

1. Starten Sie Freeplane.
2. Wählen Sie im Menü Extras den Unterpunkt Add-Ons....
3. Wählen Sie den Tab Suchen und Installieren und klicken Sie auf den Button Durchsuchen.
4. Wählen Sie die CTS2-LE Addon-Datei aus, die zusammen mit der CTS2-LE Distribution ausgeliefert wurde (z. B. FhirValueSetTools-v1.0.addon.mm).
5. Klicken Sie den Button Installieren und bestätigen Sie die Installation und die Lizenzbedingungen, wenn die entsprechenden Abfragefenster aufpoppen.
6. Schließen Sie Freeplane und starten Sie es erneut.

Step 3: Connecting to a CTS2-LE Server

If you are using the Freeplane English language version:

1. Open Freeplane.
2. Use the menu item Tools -> Add-ons....
3. On the tab Add-Ons and select the CTS2-LE Add-On from the list of installed add-ons.
4. Click on the configure button.
5. Enter the IP-Address or hostname of the CTS2-LE Server you want to connect to
6. Click on OK and close the Add-On window.

If you are using the Freeplane German language version:

1. Starten Sie Freeplane.
2. Wählen Sie im Menü Extras den Unterpunkt Add-Ons....
3. Wählen Sie den Tab Add-Ons und wählen Sie das CTS2-LE Add-On aus der Liste der installierten Add-Ons aus.
4. Klicken Sie den Button Konfigurieren.
5. Geben Sie die IP-Adresse oder den Hostnamen des CTS2-LE Servers ein, zu dem Sie eine Verbindung herstellen möchten.
6. Klicken Sie auf OK und schließen Sie anschließend das Add-On-Fenster.
