Browsing at Top Level

The main entry point for browsing terminologies is shown after pressing the Terminologies tab:

Termin-tab.png

It shows an hierarchical structure of all terminologies known to the system. By pressing one terminology name the terminology page is shown:

Termin.png

On this page the resource URIs of the terminology, a short description, and selected top level concepts are shown. The top level concepts are hierarchical organised according to the sub/super-concept (is-a) relation. If the check box hide unfocused concepts is checked then non-focused concepts are hidden.

Browsing at Concept Level

By pressing one concept (e.g. in the terminology page at top level) the concept page is shown with concept details like the containing terminology, code, and designations:

In order to get more information of the concept the user can go to Wikipedia, Google, or Bioportal by activating the corresponding links in the first line.

Standard relations like the sub/super-concept (is-a) relation are further navigable.

Many terminologies are poly-hierarchical so that more than one super-concept can occur.

Concept Relations

Because many terminologies form a network of concepts the sub section Specific Relations shows outgoing and ingoing relations to other concepts. For instance, the relation seeAlso below references the corresponding UCUM concept:
