CSEO: Cigarette Smoke Exposure Ontology
As part of an effort to enhance quality and interoperability of experimental data from environmental exposure experiments, the Fraunhofer Institute for Algorithms and Scientific Computing (SCAI) and Philip Morris International Research & Development (PMI R&D) are reaching out to the community performing and supporting research and experiments to better understand the link of exposure to outcome, e.g. disease.
Scientists at SCAI and PMI R&D are engaged in a joint research project which aims to develop CSEO and ensure the use of standard terminology within this domain.
We believe that this new ontology may complement and summarize relevant existing ontologies and ensure the urgent step of harmonizing the domains terminology and current understanding.
