Scammers hack websites of trusted projects and social media accounts of celebrities or influencers to post fake messages directing to a malicious website, service or to post a wallet address where people can send coins/tokens to in order to participate in a fake campaign, e.g. they say the amount sent will be doubled for some reason or they state it is a wallet of a charity.
