ASE-Definition (dt.)
Bots, kurz für Roboter, können sowohl nützliche, als auch schädliche automatisiert arbeitende Computerprogramme sein. Schädliche Bots sind beispielsweise Malware, nützliche Bots finden Anwendung bei Suchmaschinen (Searchbots) oder in spielerischen Umgebungen (Videospiele, Chatbots).

Bots, short for robots, can be both useful and harmful automated computer programs. Harmful bots are malware, for example, while useful bots are used in search engines (searchbots) or in playful environments (video games, chatbots).
