==ASE-Definition (dt.)==
Ein Live-Lab im Kontext der [[Produktentwicklung]] ist eine Untersuchungsumgebung, die es ermöglicht, [[Methode]]n und [[Prozess]]e der Produktentwicklung in einem möglichst realen Entwicklungsprozess zu erforschen und gleichzeitig die Randbedingungen in hohem Maße gestalten zu können. Ziel hierbei ist es, Entwicklungsmethoden, Prozesselemente, Werkzeuge und Arbeitsweisen weiterzuentwickeln und zu evaluieren, um diese mehrwertstiftend der Praxis in Industrieunternehmen bereitstellen zu können.

A live lab in the context of product development is a research environment that makes it possible to explore methods and processes of product development in a development process that is as real as possible, while at the same time being able to shape the boundary conditions to a high degree. The aim is to further develop and evaluate development methods, process elements, tools and working methods in order to make them available to the practice in industrial companies in a way that adds value.
