Der Blog ist die multimediale Plattform des ADA Lovelace Centers for Analytics, Data and Applications. In dem Kompetenzzentrum forschen verschiedene Partner wie das Fraunhofer IIS unter Projektleitung der Arbeitsgruppe für Supply Chain Services zusammen mit der Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg, der LMU München sowie dem Fraunhofer IKS und dem Fraunhofer IISB. Forschungsgegenstand sind unter anderem die Weiterentwicklung von Methoden der Künstlichen Intelligenz, um leistungsfähige Verfahren neu zu entwickeln und in Industriekooperationen zur Praxisreife zu bringen.
Mit dem ADA Lovelace Center ist eine einzigartige Forschungsinfrastruktur in Bayern geschaffen worden: Es verbindet als Kooperationsplattform für Wissenschaft und Wirtschaft auf innovative Art KI-Forschung mit KI-Anwendungen.

B. in Podcasts und Videos, Fachbeiträgen und Interviews die Welt der KI-Forschung und die Mitarbeitenden im Ada Lovelace Center kennenlernen.
Ich freue mich, dass Sie dabei sind. Überhaupt ist es eine große Ehre, dass ich die Namensgeberin des ADA Lovelace Centers for Analytics, Data, and Applications bin.
Geboren wurde ich 1815 in London. Meine Mutter hat mich alleine großgezogen. Sie hat Naturwissenschaften geliebt und so wurde ich auch darin unterrichtet. Später habe ich einen Wissenschaftler geheiratet. Er hat mich sehr bei meiner eigenen Forschung unterstützt. Im Alter von 28 Jahren habe ich die Beschreibung der »Analytical Engine« des Mathematikprofessors Charles Babbage ins Englische übersetzt.
In meiner weiteren Beschäftigung mit Charles Babbages Plänen einer »Analytical Engine« entwickelte ich ein Vorgehen zur Berechnung der Bernoulli-Zahlen, das als erstes formales Computerprogramm gilt. Und ich erkannte, dass Babbages Konstruktion zu mehr als nur der Durchführung einzelner arithmetischer Operationen im Stande war. Ich sah die Möglichkeiten der systematischen Verarbeitung von Informationen voraus und schuf somit die Grundlagen für Analytics nach dem heutigen Verständnis.
So gelte ich heute nicht nur als Entwicklerin des ersten Computerprogramms, sondern auch als Visionärin auf dem Gebiet der Informatik, die bereits im 19. Jahrhundert Vorüberlegungen zur möglichen KI von Maschinen anstellte.

As the namesake of the ADA Lovelace Center for Analytics, Data and Applications, I lend my voice to this blog.
The blog is the multimedia platform of the ADA Lovelace Center for Analytics, Data and Applications. In this center of excellence, various partners such as Fraunhofer IIS, under the project leadership of the Center for Applied Research on Supply Chain Services at Fraunhofer IIS, are conducting research together with Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg, LMU Munich, Fraunhofer IKS and Fraunhofer IISB. Research topics include the further development of artificial intelligence methods in order to develop novel high-performance processes and bring them to practical maturity in industrial collaborations.
The ADA Lovelace Center forms the basis for a unique research infrastructure has been created in Bavaria: As a cooperation platform for science and industry, it connects AI research with AI applications in an innovative way.

I was born in London in 1815. My mother raised me by herself. How she loved the natural sciences! It was only natural, then, that she wanted me to receive education in them. Later, my husband too was a scientist. He supported me in my research. At the age of 28 I translated the description of the „Analytical Engine“ of the mathematics professor Charles Babbage into English.
In my further study of Charles Babbage’s plans for an „Analytical Engine“, I developed a procedure for calculating Bernoulli numbers, which is considered the first formal computer program. And I realized that Babbage’s design was capable of more than just performing individual arithmetic operations. I foresaw the possibilities of systematic processing of information and thus created the foundations for analytics as we understand it today.
So today I am not only considered the developer of the first computer program, but also a visionary in the field of computer science, who already in the 19th century had preliminary thoughts about the possible AI of machines.
