CIPRNet project
The CIPRNet project [1] uses the following definition:
Two infrastructures are functional dependent when objects in one infrastructure can only function when the objects in the other infrastructure operate properly.
Functional dependencies can be uni- or bi-directional (interdependency). The dependency is direct when there is a direct connection between them and they are indirect when there are one or more mediating components between them.
DIESIS project
The DIESIS project [2] gives the following definition:
