CLIMATE-ADAPT

A climate change adaptation strategy for a country, region or municipality refers to a general plan of action for addressing the impacts of climate change, including climate variability and extremes. It may include a mix of policies and measures, selected to meet the overarching objective of reducing the country’s vulnerability. [1]

Note: Strategy – refers to a broad plan of action that is implemented through policies and measures.

RESIN project

The RESIN project [2] gives the following definition:

Adaptation Strategies include a mix of policies and measures with the overarching objective of reducing vulnerability. Depending on the circumstances, the strategy can be set at a national level, addressing adaptation across sectors, regions and vulnerable populations, or it can be more limited, focusing on just one or two sectors or regions.
